System Performance Engineer

Magnus-Metal Ltd. is well funded early-stage deep tech start-up, with a mission to drive heavy metal casting industry towards the 21st century. Magnus-Metal revolutionary “Digital Casting” technology will replace the traditional casting with fully automated “CAD to Part” systems.

We are currently gathering outstanding professionals to join our multi-disciplinary R&D team on the path to industrialize the solution. MagnusMetal is looking for a top-notch system engineers to join our team and play a pivotal role in bringing the “Digital Casting” technology to reality.
Job Summary:
The System Performance Engineer defines, leads, coordinates and performs system performance research assessments and optimization tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Detailed system performance requirement definition
- Definition of modules/sub system specifications and performance requirements
- System performance optimization
- Definition of modules and sensors for process control
- Definition of system parameters and calibration procedures
- Design of experiments for modules and system performance evaluation
- Coordination/ execution of system/modules experiments
- Data analysis and reporting of experiments, recommending improvement path
- Training of application, process engineers and tool owners
- Initiation of system IP activities
Qualifications:
- B.Sc/M.Sc in science/engineering studies or M.Sc in system engineering
- 5 years of experience working with complex multidisciplinary systems (3D printing – preferable)
- Great system perception
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation and ability to communicate within and across teams
- Team player - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and data processing skills
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic hands on
- Good English – written and spoken
- Ability to work in a methodic and orderly manner in R&D environment
- Fast and self learning skills. Eager to learn new technologies and analyze complex technical problems
- Experience in developing SW tools for data processing (e.g. Matlab, Python, R, Advanced Excel, etc..)
- Flexibility under technical and schedule constraints
