Magnus-Metal Ltd. is an early-stage start-up company, developing a new “Additive Casting” process for the
manufacturing of large metal parts. The process outputs cast metal parts based upon the customer’s CAD file.
Our development machine has proven the technology and process, and we are currently recruiting excellent
professionals to join our multi-disciplinary R&D team on the path to industrializing the solution.

Job Summary:

A Senior researcher in the chemistry department has a central part in development of the unique molds in the process. He/She leads independent chemical and materials development tasks, in collaboration with other team-members in the Chemistry group and outside it. The position includes research into new materials, optimization of current materials, development of manufacturing processes, characterization methods and other material-related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily lab work including independent project management and thinking outside of the box, material formulation and problem solving of process challenges.
Multidisciplinary work within the chemistry department and collaborative work with different departments within the company.
Preparing and presenting the development progress to a multidiscipline review peer group

Qualification:

Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering \ materials engineering
6-10 years of R&D experience in the industry
• Ceramic materials- advantage
• 3D printing formulations- advantage
PhD – advantage
Good learning ability
Highly motivated team player
Ability to work under tight schedules
Good communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in Hebrew and in English, orally and in writing
